What is personal Web Tree?
Why Don't you charge anything in
advance?
Why should we, we haven't done anything yet and like you we have no idea
if we can trace your family tree, that's what we're here to find out, who are
your ancestors.

we gather about you to work on your family research project. When you
request a contact we ask for your name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address

hard copies of the research documents.
C&T Research does not share your information with any third-party vendors – period.
If we change our privacy policy at any time we will inform all current clients immediately.

What resources and sources
do you use?
Library and Local Vital records, newspapers and the Internet, subscription sites
and some pay as you go, for example, the UK 1911 census and the majority of
the Scottish vital records. Our primary resource is our combined knowledge and
abilities honed over the years. An example of how we use those resources
is available
here.

What documents will be
provided?
Some of the images we search may be copyrighted, if they are we
will provide a reference to them. Any official records that we obtain
certified copies of and that you have agreed to pay for, will obviously be
included.

What do I get at the end?
Anything we find will be documented with locations and dates. Where your
ancestors lived, what they did for a living, what their migration path was,
who they married, who their parents were, how many children they had and
when they died.

How will it be
documented?
The basic documentation will be as we said, everything we find,
examples can be found
here and
here. These 2 files are examples taken from our own family research. We
can produce 'book' quality documentation, however that will depend on the
number of pages and photographs. Prices can be determined once we have the
basic document.

I have some photographs
- can those be included?
Of course they can, any photographs or images of documents can be
sent to us and included in the documentation.

How long will it take?
How long is a piece of string? Seriously, the base family history
report can take anywhere between 1 week and 2 months, dependent on your
requirements. Some of the work will already have been completed when we make
the initial contact. That's when we know we can find your ancestors.

How do I pay for it?
A very important question - to us anyway. We can work with personal
checks or online credit card payments through a secure third party, e.g.
PayPal.

What is a Personal Web Tree?
To see an example visit our own web site tree pages
here. We can create and host your tree in a similar format, depending on
photographs. The 'site' would not be searchable, in that it would not be a
registered domain name, it would simply be a private page off one of our
sites. We would keep the pages available for as long as you wanted, with a
minimum of 3 months paid in advance.
