What Does it Cost?

Our initial consultation is free, unlike other researchers.

It usually takes an hour or so to do the preliminary assessment. We want to be sure we can meet your needs and provide you with options before we agree on the cost of research, how long it will take and what we will deliver.

We do not limit you to a single surname search, we will provide information on everyone we find along the way. You decide how much of your family tree you want us to research, and then we will agree on the total research fee. We don't ask for a deposit or retainer - we wait to be paid for our research. The only additional costs could be for certified copies of documents.

Costs for certified copies of birth, marriage or death certificates from England are at cost and would only be acquired after approval from you, our client. The cost in GB pounds is fixed by the General Register Office in the UK at GB Pounds 9.25, local currency would be calculated using the exchange rate in force at the time. Scottish records are a little more expensive at 10 GBP.

Costs for certificates from the United States will vary between states and again only be obtained after receiving approval from you.
