Who Were My Ancestors?

Opening Doors to the Past

What Does it Cost?

Our initial consultation is free and unlike other research organizations we don't ask for any money in advance. We want to be sure we can provide you with your ancestry back as far as possible before we agree on the cost of our research.

Initially, you decide if you want a single surname research i.e. your father, grandfather, great grandfather, etc. or if you want an expanded search to include your maternal ancestors - just tell us what you want. We normally spend at least one hour on the preliminary searches to determine if we're able to help you with your quest.  We will then submit a breakdown of options and costs and subsequently a complete project plan for your approval. You decide how you want us to proceed, we don't work from set fees, we customize your project - after all no two families are the same.

Costs for certified copies of birth, marriage or death certificates from England are at cost and would only be acquired after approval from you, our client. The cost in GB pounds is fixed by the General Register Office in the UK at GBP 9.25, (April 2010 - approximately $15.00). Scottish records are a little more expensive at GBP 10.

Costs for certificates from the United States would vary between states and again only after receiving approval from you.

What do you do? Just use the contact page, fill in as much as you can about your parents, grand parents and if possible great grand parents and send it to us. That is all we ask for - no money, until we know we can trace your family history further back - and then we'll get back to you. Then you decide if you want to take it any further.
